Big Data DevOps Engineer

As the Dev-ops engineer, you will do the following:

• Work in an AGILE team with other engineers and team leads on the feature deployment activities to achieve the sprint goals.
• Create CI/CD script for auto-deployment of new features.
• Help scale up or scale down the resources based on data load.
• Work in a team to turn innovative ideas into robust software and solve complex design and implementation problems.
• Maintain our production servers to achieve maximum uptime.

Basic Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a software-related discipline, from an accredited college or university
• Must have hands-on experience in maintaining Big Data tools and services.
• Experience in CI/CD tools such as Selenium, Jenkins and JIRA.
• Experience with container platforms like OpenShift, Kubernetes or docker
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (preferred), Chef or Puppet.
• Experience with version control tools like Gitlab or bit-bucket.
• Experience in Linux environment, Linux networking and shell scripting.
• Proven success working in a team-oriented environment and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Must have an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.

Desired Qualifications: 

• Experience in bringing up Hadoop clusters and installing various packages.
• Experience in implementation, and deployment of high volume, highly available, cloud-based systems would be a plus.
• A proactive and eager nature for tackling new challenges
