Job Description

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, provide status updates, manage resource allocation effectively following a staffing plan, connect with ITPMs independently and client’s stakeholder interaction for the Squad(s).
• Coordinate with related departments/stakeholders to unblock blockers (accounts, access…)
• Communicate directly with clients to gather requirements, provide project updates, and address any testing-related issues or concerns.
• Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand project requirements and provide input on testability.
• Perform thorough analysis of product specifications to create comprehensive test plans and strategies.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the test automation team, sharing best practices and knowledge.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to verify the functionality, performance, and security of software applications.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results, identifying defects and areas for improvement.
• Take ownership of the test automation process, continually optimizing and enhancing automated testing practices.
  
  

Qualifications

General requirements:

• Willingness and ability to travel to Malaysia frequently for on-site work and client engagements
• Fluent in English, have experience in working directly with global clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact directly with clients and internal teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  
  

Technical requirements:

• Having 8+ years of professional experience in test automation. Experience with mobile automation testing is a must-have
• Have 1+ year of experience in Katalon Studio
• Proven expertise in developing and maintaining automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks
• Strong programming skills (Groovy, Java, Python)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Having experience/knowledge of Banking industry is a plus
• Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium) are a bonus.
  
  

Nice to have:

• Proficient daily use of AI coding tools (Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) across the full SDLC
• Able to decompose complex tasks, provide effective context, and apply chain-of-thought and multi-step prompting workflows
• Experience with agentic workflows and AI-driven development frameworks
• Hands-on experience integrating AI tools with other systems via MCP (Model Context Protocol) or equivalent
• Awareness of emerging AI tools and willingness to evaluate and adopt new capabilities
