Python Backend Engineer

I. What You'll Do

We are looking for a Python Backend Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering and operations. This is not a pure support role. You will be responsible for maintaining system reliability, resolving production issues, and building tools/automation to improve how systems operate at scale. The role requires strong problem-solving ability, solid backend fundamentals, and a high level of ownership.

• Own and resolve production and operational issues raised via JIRA Service Desk, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution
• Investigate issues end-to-end: reproduce, debug, identify root causes, and implement long-term fixes
• Build automation tools and scripts to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency
• Work closely with DevOps, Backend Engineers, and Researchers to maintain system stability and scalability
• Analyze recurring issues and proactively improve workflows, processes, and system reliability
• Contribute to internal tools (e.g., bots, ticket classifiers, monitoring utilities) that support daily operations

II. What We're Looking For

• Strong Python programming skills with 3+ years of real-world experience in production systems
• Experience building backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture
• Familiar with async programming & concurrency basics
• Comfortable working with SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and understanding how transactions/ACID work
• Used to working in Linux environments
• Hands-on with Git & CI/CD pipelines
• Have experience with logging, monitoring, and debugging in real systems
• Strong at troubleshooting & finding root causes
• Proactive in automation, optimization, and improving processes

• Working time: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Lunch break: 12:00 PM – 1:30 PM)
