The Team and Role:

As a key team of the Gaming Engineering organization, you take the lead in the mechanical design and development of gaming projects. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic R&D center, collaborating with expert teams to develop outstanding products in gaming-related categories. A passion for design and development is essential, encompassing the creation and testing of innovative solutions to achieve design objectives.

The Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for understanding users' needs, translating them into product and mechanical engineering specifications, defining core technical approaches, implementing mechanical engineering solutions, and ensuring seamless delivery to mass production.

Your Contribution:

This position includes taking the owner responsibility for:

  • Initial ME cost reduction and implementation on the MP products.
  • ME production quality issue sustaining: Problem-solving of the product's mechanical issues continually enhances the mechanical design and improves manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost after mass production with a scientific approach.
  • Develop the derivative products.
  • Conduct supplier design reviews and support ME specification update for 2nd source development and qualification.
  • Support global cross-functional teams for assigned supplier transfer (overseas) projects.
  • Phase in the PCR material to the MP projects.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • 5+ years experience in mechanical design and development of high-volume consumer electronic products
  • Plus experience: coaching junior ME to provide technical direction or guidance, and managing ME crisis

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Always has the end-user experience in mind to drive technical and communication solutions
  • Self-motivated, passionate with a high energy level
  • Good communication in English both oral and written
  • Master skilled in problem-solving (8D, PDCA, DMICA ) and risk assessment (FMEA)
  • Geometrical tolerance knowledge
  • Tolerance analysis and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of prototyping, material and tooling and molding.
  • Master in CAD - Creo
  • Plus as a master in CAE - Asys
