Role Overview

As a Frontend Developer specializing in Next.js and React Native, you will play a critical role in creating seamless and engaging user experiences for our web and mobile applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and backend developers, to build scalable and high-performance solutions that meet the needs of our users and local communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Next.js and mobile applications using React Native.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement user-friendly interfaces and optimize the overall user experience.
• Utilize SCSS for advanced styling and layout management, ensuring consistency across applications.
• Create and maintain storyboards to visualize user flows and ensure alignment with design specifications.
• Ensure accessibility best practices using tools such as Axe or Lighthouse to enhance usability for all users.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing.
• Integrate with backend services and APIs to deliver dynamic content and features.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance our frontend capabilities.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in frontend development with a strong focus on Next.js and React Native and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and web performance optimization.
• Proficiency in SCSS and CSS libraries such as Tailwind, Bootstrap etc.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
• Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).

Nice to Haves

• Experience in integrating native modules in React Native for functionalities not provided by default.
• Familiarity with tools like Sentry or LogRocket for tracking errors and user behavior in production.
• Experience in implementing i18n in applications to support multiple languages and cultures.
• Experience with storyboarding tools (e.g., Storybook) and design systems.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and experience using tools like Axe or Lighthouse to audit and improve accessibility.
• Familiarity with mobile-first design principles and Progressive Web Apps (PWAs).
• Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools.
• Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects that demonstrate your passion for technology.
