Role Summary

The L2 Cloud Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting hybrid cloud environments across Azure AWS and Kubernetes The role involves executing Infrastructure as Code IaC handling escalations from L1 support performing system monitoring and maintaining the stability and performance of cloud workloads The engineer will ensure timely response to incidents assist with automation initiatives and collaborate closely with clients and internal teams for efficient cloud operations

Key Responsibilities

Manage and support daytoday operations of Azure and AWS infrastructure including compute storage networking and identity management

Perform routine administration and troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters in production and staging environments

Execute deployment and infrastructure provisioning using IaCtools such as Terraform ARM templates or CloudFormation

Handle escalated incidents from L1 engineers related to virtual machines containers networking or security configurations

Monitor infrastructure cost performance and resource utilization using tools like CloudWatch Azure Monitor or Prometheus

Perform patching backup validation and health checks for instances and services across cloud environments

Ensure cloud compliance security updates and policy adherence as per organizational standards

Work with DevOps and automation teams to streamline deployment and configuration processes

Document technical processes incident reports and standard operating procedures

Communicate effectively with clients regarding status updates action plans and service restoration progress

Participate in shift rotations ensuring coverage for 24x7 operations across environments

Required Skills Experience

Strong handson experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms

Proficiency in key services such as EC2 S3 VPC RDS AWS and VM VNet Load Balancer Azure AD Azure

Working knowledge of Kubernetes cluster management deployments and podcontainer troubleshooting

Experience executing IaCusing Terraform CloudFormation or ARM templates

Understanding of cloud networking concepts such as VPN load balancing and security groups

Knowledge of CICD pipelines and integrations with cloud infrastructure

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like CloudWatch Azure Monitor Grafana

Experience in ITILbased incident change and problem management processes

Ability to analyze technical issues across different layers infrastructure application network and provide timely resolutions

Certifications Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field

Certifications such as AWS Certified SysOpsAdministrator Azure Administrator Associate or Certified Kubernetes Administrator CKA preferred

Basic ITIL Foundation certification is desirable

Familiarity with DevOps or automation tools Jenkins Ansible Git is an added advantage
