Functional Test Engineer - Capital Markets

Project Description:

We are seeking a Functional Tester with strong domain expertise in Capital Markets to support testing activities across complex financial systems. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders to validate functional requirements, ensure high-quality deliverables, and support end-to-end testing across trade lifecycle workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Perform functional testing for applications within Capital Markets domain
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into test scenarios and test cases
• Work closely with business stakeholders to validate requirements and clarify gaps
• Execute test cases, log defects, and track resolution through to closure
• Participate in test planning, test strategy, and test execution activities
• Ensure coverage across trade lifecycle, regulatory, and reporting workflows
• Provide clear and effective communication on testing status and risks
• Support UAT cycles and coordinate with business users
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for defect triage and resolution

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 5+ Years of strong experience in Functional Testing
• Good exposure to Capital Markets domain (trade lifecycle, asset classes, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to interact directly with business users and stakeholders
• Experience in requirement analysis and test case design
• Understanding of QA processes and SDLC/STLC

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies
• Basic knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Experience in regulatory or reporting systems
