Role Description

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to own and scale the infrastructure of a real-time IoT platform. If you enjoy building reliable, production-grade systems and working with modern DevOps tooling, this role is for you.

Roles & Responsibility

You will be responsible for managing and scaling a real-time IoT infrastructure stack, including:

MQTT broker (EMQX)
PostgreSQL with TimescaleDB
Redis
MinIO object storage
Next.js / NestJS application stack

All services run in Docker and are deployed via GitHub Actions.

You will:

Build and maintain production-grade CI/CD pipelines
Ensure high availability and scalability for thousands of concurrent device connections
Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems
Manage secure, reliable infrastructure deployments

Required Skills

Strong experience with Docker & Docker Compose (multi-service setups, networking, volumes)
Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions (end-to-end CI/CD pipelines)
PostgreSQL administration (backup, restore, replication, performance tuning)
Redis (Cluster/Sentinel, persistence, memory optimization)
Linux server administration (Ubuntu/Debian, systemd, firewall, SSH hardening)
MQTT broker management (EMQX / Mosquitto / HiveMQ — ACL, TLS, auth)
Environment & secrets management best practices
Cloud deployment experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Pulumi)
TimescaleDB (retention policies, aggregates, chunk management)
Turborepo CI (pnpm workspaces, caching, pipelines)
CVE scanning tools (Trivy, Snyk, Dependabot)

Nice to have

Kubernetes & Helm (chart creation and deployment)
Grafana & Prometheus (monitoring, dashboards, alerting)
MinIO setup and bucket policy management

Requirement

1.5 to 3+ years of DevOps experience
Availability to overlap minimum 3 hours with CET timezone
Remote / Hybrid role (must commit 80–90 productive hours per month)
Comfortable with time tracking and remote work discipline
Willing to support customers when required
Must be ready to sign a legal NDA
Minimum duration: 4 months (with potential extension)
Remote-first with optional hybrid flexibility
