Job Summary
Manage our Transport Management System tool (TMS) and our European billing and transport data.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
- TMS administrator: responsible for maintaining TMS tools, in particular transport plans for European sites and integrating all data, such as carrier rates, billing report or any needed.
- Carrier tools: Responsible for maintaining carrier tools used in Europe.
- Billing control, validation and integration: monitoring of the transport and customs costs for Markem Image’s European operations.
- Reporting activities: Responsible for producing transport performance and financial indicators (KPIs) for the European region.
- Continuous improvement: Develop the use of continuous improvement techniques. Promote improvements focused on customer and internal operations. Ensure overall consistency through best practices and communication.
Scope of activity
Mainly all transport and brokerage activities related to our Europeans sites working in close collaboration with our local logistics team of our platforms and with interactions at the global level.
Other Activities / Duties / Responsibilities
- Ensure smooth operation of TMS systems and carrier tools by maintaining the operational shipping capability in Europe.
- Maintain the transport and customs database in XLS format for Europe.
- Check, validate, and post carrier invoices for Europe.
- Calculate monthly accruals.
- Create and manage transport and customs supplier purchase orders.
- Monitor budgets and analyze transport and customs cost variances in Europe.
- Create monthly KPIs of the service and report them in Power BI in due time.
- Participate in supply chain projects on request.
Key Knowledge & Skills
- 4/5+ years working experience of administrating T.M.S software for forwarder or international company, knowledge for integrated supply chain management preferred.
- European road and international transport by air and ocean knowledge.
- Understanding hazmat regulation by road in Europe and air will be a plus.
- Advance Microsoft skills (XLS and Power BI)
- SAP knowledge and experience are a plus.
- Excellent English verbal and written communication, French will be a plus
- Strong professional, personal and business ethics
- Bachelor’s degree, major in international logistics preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Self-starter & able to work independently with minimal direction.
- Positive attitude, teamwork and ‘Can do’ spirit.
