Role Overview

Join Maxis as a Data Analyst Intern, where you will gain hands-on experience working with enterprise data to drive insights and support data-driven decision-making. This role offers exposure to data analysis, dashboard development, and data management practices, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Quality & Validation
• Identify and resolve data inconsistencies from source systems.
• Support data cleansing efforts to ensure accuracy and reliability of datasets.
• Data Analysis & Insights
• Analyse enterprise datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
• Support business decision-making through data-driven findings.
• Dashboard & Visualisation Development
• Build and maintain dashboards and visualisations using tools such as Power BI.
• Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with business needs.
• SQL Development & Data Extraction
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and manage relevant data from relational databases.
• Support efficient data retrieval for analysis and reporting purposes.
• Documentation & Data Management
• Assist in maintaining data dictionaries, process documentation, and related materials.
• Ensure proper documentation to support data governance and usability.
  
  

Value-Added Project

As part of the analytics unit, the intern may have opportunities to contribute to both standard business analysis initiatives and AI-based solutioning projects, depending on the scope and priorities of the quarter. This provides exposure to evolving analytics use cases and emerging data-driven technologies within the organisation.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Proficiency in SQL for querying and managing relational databases
• Working knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn
• A collaborative team player with good communication skills
