Data Analyst (Underwriting)

Overview:

The Underwriting Operations Data Analyst supports the Underwriting team by turning raw data into clear, accurate, and meaningful insights. The role ensures that underwriting decisions and performance are guided by reliable reports, structured analysis, and consistent monitoring.This position acts as the bridge between operations and data—helping identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.

What you will be doing:

• Prepare regular and ad hoc reports on manual underwriting performance, productivity, and portfolio quality, ensuring timely and accurate insights
• Consolidate and validate data from multiple systems to maintain reliability before analysis
• Monitor key underwriting metrics such as approval rates, decline reasons, turnaround time, and risk indicators
• Support root-cause analysis related to credit performance, policy changes, and operational issues
• Collaborate with Underwriters, CPM, Risk, Product, and Tech teams to align data definitions, maintain documentation, and improve reporting processes

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, IT, or related field with 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or credit operations
• Proficiency in MS Excel and data visualization tools, with understanding of credit or underwriting processes as an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Effective communication skills to convey complex analytical findings and insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Further training and studies is an advantage
