PROTÉGÉ program

Be part of our PROTÉGÉ program! Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneur (PROTÉGÉ ) is one of Maybank Group's Corporate Responsibility Programme in support of the Government's initiatives to enhance the employability of unemployed graduates. Graduates selected for the PROTÉGÉ will undergo twelve (12) months learning on the job experience with Maybank.

Core Responsibilities:

1. AI Feature Development: Assist in developing and deploying AI-powered modules, such as digital assistants or automated document processors.
2. Model Integration: Work on connecting backend systems with Generative AI APIs (e.g., Google Gemini) to drive real-time analysis.
3. Prompt Engineering: Design, test, and refine prompts to ensure high-quality and safe AI outputs for customer-facing applications.
4. AI Security & Guardrails: Help implement safety layers to prevent model hallucinations and ensure data privacy within AI workflows.
5. Data Preparation: Support the cleaning and structuring of datasets for model training or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) tasks.

Field of Study

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related fields.

Hard Skills

• Proficiency in Python or Node.js, basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts, and familiarity with AI frameworks/APIs.

Soft Skills

• Strong problem-solving abilities, ethical mindset regarding AI use, and a proactive learning approach.
