Solution Engineer - Cloud & AI

Overview

We are looking for a Solution Engineer – Cloud & AI (Data) to help customers unlock business value through modern data platforms, analytics, and AI-driven insights.

In this role, you will work closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to translate business problems into scalable data and AI solutions, spanning data platform modernization, advanced analytics, and AI innovation.

You will be part of a high-performing engineering team focused on:

• Unifying data platforms
• Driving data-driven decision making
• Accelerating AI adoption in production
  
  

This role blends technical depth, consultative engagement, and solution execution, working across both pre-sales and early delivery phases.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Solution Design

• Engage with customers to understand business challenges and data strategy needs
• Lead solution discussions, whiteboarding, and architecture design for modern data platforms
• Translate business use cases into data and AI solution architectures (batch, real-time, AI-driven)
  
  

Data Platform & AI Solutioning

• Drive adoption of:
• Modern data platform architectures (lakehouse, real-time analytics)
• Advanced analytics and BI solutions
• AI/ML and AI-driven application scenarios
• Guide customers in data modernization journeys, including migration, integration, and transformation
• Co-create proof-of-concepts (POCs), pilots, and demos to validate value
  

Consultative Selling & Value Realization

• Act as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions to business outcomes and measurable value
• Influence customer decisions through technical storytelling and scenario-led engagement
• Support opportunity lifecycle by contributing to technical win strategies and solution positioning
  
  

Execution & Delivery Excellence

• Own and track technical milestones and solution progress across engagements
• Drive hands-on activities and implementation guidance where required
• Ensure alignment with best practices for performance, security, and scalability
  
  

Collaboration & Cross-Workload Enablement

• Work across teams (Apps, Infra, AI, Security) to deliver integrated solutions
• Participate in cross-solution initiatives, knowledge sharing, and field readiness programs
• Contribute to building consistent SE depth and cross-solution capabilities within the team
  
  

Continuous Learning & Thought Leadership

• Stay current with trends in data platforms, analytics, and AI technologies
• Build internal and external credibility through:
• Knowledge sharing
• Customer workshops
• Community or partner engagement
  

Qualifications

Experience

• 5–10+ years in cloud, data engineering, analytics, or AI solution roles
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles (pre-sales, consulting, or architecture)
• Proven ability to design and deliver data platform solutions at scale
  
  

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of:
• Data platform architectures (data lakes, lakehouse, warehousing)
• Data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration patterns
• Analytics and visualization tools
• Exposure to:
• AI/ML workloads and AI-enabled applications
• Real-time analytics and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and distributed systems
  

Consultative & Business Skills

• Ability to translate business problems into technical solutions
• Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience driving value-based conversations vs product-led discussions
  
  

Collaboration & Leadership

• Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams
• Self-driven with strong ownership and accountability mindset
• Ability to influence without authority and lead technical discussions
  
  

Preferred

• Certifications or hands-on experience in cloud, data, or AI domains
• Experience in regulated industries (FSI, public sector) or enterprise environments
• Experience working across multi-cloud or hybrid architectures
