Java Full Stack Developer- Senior Software Engineer- Navi Mumbai(Vashi)

Job Overview

In this role, you will work with cross functional teams including leads, analysts, and developers to design, develop, and maintain solutions that support PitchBook Collection Applications. You should have a strong understanding of Java, JSP, Spring, SQL, React, AI-augmented development tools, Component based architecture, and create scalable, flexible technical solutions. You would support existing systems, study their enterprise complexities, and develop/implement better systems with modern software development practices. Developing a good understanding of existing systems on other platforms and its database is a beginning step.

Outline of Duties and Responsibilities

• Design & develop web and enterprise solutions to be flexible, scalable, & extensible.
• Improve complex data flow, data structures, and DB design to move to the next platform.
• Enforce good agile practices like test driven development, Continuous Integration.
• Hands-on development will be an integral part of the responsibilities.
• Develop areas of continuous and automated deployment.
• Introduce and follow good development practices, innovative frameworks, and technology solutions that help businesses move faster.
• Follow best practices like estimation, planning, reporting and improvement brought to processes in everyday work.

Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a similar field.
• 8+ Years of experience.
• Full Stack Developer.
• Experience with AI-augmented development tools like GitHub Copilot and a passion for leveraging AI in software engineering.
• Hands-on in Java/ Web-services / Spring / Spring Boot / react JS or any front-end framework.
• Very Strong knowledge of databases and hands on MSSQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL DB DynamoDB/MongoDB.
• Be aware of activity in the open-source world. Contributing back to open source is a big plus.
• Participation in full life-cycle system development with teams of developers, analysts, and testers.
• Experience with modern development practices in areas of Product design, Requirement Analysis, Test Driven Development, Automation & Unit Testing, in a product development environment.
• Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to lead and/or provide guidance to junior peers within the team.
• Experienced with web technologies and standards (e.g., JSON, JWT).
• Experienced with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Familiarity with Container orchestration software (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with architecture trade-off analysis methods and domain-driven design preferred.

Working Conditions

The job conditions for this position are in a standard office setting.Employees in this position use PC and phone on an on-going basis throughout the day. Limited corporate travel may be required to remote offices or other business meetings and events.
