Overview
We are looking for a skilled Robotics Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. As a Robotics Data Scientist, you will play a key role in leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques to drive innovation and optimization in robotic systems. You will work at the intersection of robotics, data science, and artificial intelligence to solve complex challenges and enhance the capabilities of robotic technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data generated by robotic systems to gain insights into performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Develop predictive models and algorithms to optimize robotic operations, including motion planning, path optimization, and task scheduling.
- Implement machine learning algorithms for perception and decision-making in robotic applications, such as object recognition, localization, and navigation.
- Collaborate with robotics engineers and domain experts to define data collection strategies and experimental protocols.
- Design and conduct experiments to validate and refine data-driven models and algorithms for real-world robotic environments.
- Develop tools and frameworks for data visualization, monitoring, and analysis in robotics applications.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and robotics technology, and incorporate relevant techniques into research and development projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on applications in robotics or autonomous systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, as well as libraries and frameworks for data analysis and machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Strong understanding of robotics principles, including kinematics, dynamics, sensors, and actuators, fleet management.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with robotics simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, V-REP), robotic middleware (e.g., ROS) & Fleet management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large and complex datasets.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Possess confidence to resonate with senior management leadership โ internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines
- Good analytical and organization skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skill
