Platform Senior AI Engineer

As an AI Platform Engineer, you'll be part of our AI Centre of Excellence (AI COE) - a centralized platform team building and operating enterprise-grade AI and data platforms for internal engineering teams across NCS. You'll work hands-on to develop reusable platform components, implement AI workflows, and ensure our services meet production-grade standards. This isn't about one-off projects—you'll own shared capabilities end-to-end and help internal teams consume LLM capabilities in a consistent, reliable way.

What will you do?

Platform Development & Integration

• Build AI platform services and APIs using Python
• Integrate with model access layers, data systems, and platform services
• Contribute to shared libraries and reusable platform components

AI Workflow Implementation

• Implement AI workflows including RAG pipelines and inference services
• Develop LLM integration patterns and prompt-based workflows
• Work with vector databases and embedding pipelines

Production Operations & Optimization

• Design services for reliability, scalability, and fault tolerance
• Optimize latency, throughput, and resource utilization
• Support deployment, testing, and production operations
• Improve platform usability for internal developers
  
  

The ideal candidate should possess:

Experience

• 6–8 years of software engineering experience
• 1–2 years hands-on experience with AI or LLM-based systems
• Proven track record building backend services in production environments
• Experience with shared or platform-based architectures
• Familiarity with distributed systems and service-oriented design

Technical Skills

• Strong Python development capabilities
• RAG concepts including embedding and retrieval
• Vector database usage and embedding pipelines
• Model serving or inference runtime concepts
• Containerization and Kubernetes environments
• CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows
• Monitoring, logging, and tracing fundamentals

Key Attributes

• Comfortable working in evolving and ambiguous problem spaces
• Ability to balance experimentation speed with engineering discipline
• Clear communication with technical stakeholders

Education Qualification
