Data Scientist

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business users to understand key priorities and use cases, and propose and develop solutions using data science and/or Generative AI techniques to drive business value

• Research emerging AI and data science techniques, and identify relevant approaches to explore and adopt, such as Agentic AI, LLMs, predictive models, fraud/anomaly detection, text analytics, and customer segmentation

• Perform data wrangling and analysis, including preprocessing, cleaning, and feature engineering

• Support the daily operations and maintenance of deployed data science models and products, including Assistants on PAIR / AIBots

• Develop backend APIs and services to support AI model deployment and integration

• Build frontend interfaces and user experiences for AI-powered applications

• Document changes made to existing products

• Review and implement fixes for reported security vulnerabilities

Requirements

• A minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, AI, or related disciplines

• Ability to understand and apply a range of AI/ML techniques for regression and classification

• Familiarity with popular Python packages such as pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn, XGBoost, NLTK, and spaCy

• Understanding of LLM concepts such as context windows, embeddings, chunking, and token management, as well as architectures such as RAG

• Experience with context engineering techniques and prompt optimization strategies

• Proficiency in Git and SQL

• Proficiency in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, MS Power BI, and MicroStrategy

Preferred / Bonus Skillsets

The following additional skillsets will help you excel in this role:

• Proficiency in modern programming languages such as TypeScript and C#

• Experience with cloud platforms and services, preferably AWS

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with web frameworks and full-stack development, including backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, and Express.js, RESTful API development, and frontend technologies such as React, Vue.js, HTML/CSS, and TypeScript

• Experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face Transformers

• Knowledge of vector databases and embedding techniques such as Pinecone, Chroma, and FAISS

• Understanding of AI agent frameworks and multi-agent systems

• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to a non-technical audience

• Proficiency in statistical software tools such as R and SAS
