About the role

Orica is seeking a highly skilled Lead - Enterprise Architect, Core Technology (Infrastructure, Cloud, Network) to join our global IT team. The role will be based in Hyderabad, India. This position is pivotal in shaping the strategic direction of our IT infrastructure, cloud, and network domains across 400 global sites in over 60 countries.

The Lead Enterprise Architect, Core Technology (Infrastructure, Cloud, Network) will drive the full use of cloud services and software-defined networking, ensuring the availability, integrity, and security of Orica’s IT infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to influence and guide architecture development, simplify IT operations, and support business growth and innovation.

What you will be doing

• Develop and maintain a 3-year strategy and roadmap.
• Define and maintain the Core Technology architecture vision.
• Align solutions with business strategies and objectives.
• Establish and maintain standards for Core Technology.
• Capture requirements and develop high-level designs.
• Provide oversight to Engineers and project teams.
• Develop a project roadmap to standardize technology and reduce costs.
• Use Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions.

What you will bring

• 3-5 years in architecture roles for large, global organizations.
• 5+ years of experience with IT Infrastructure, Networking, and Cloud Technology.
• Experience with multi-cloud environments (VMWare, Azure, Google Cloud, AWS).
• Knowledge of hardware asset management, Windows Infrastructure services, SQL Server, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in network services (WAN, LAN, WLAN), remote access solutions, and cybersecurity principles.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to build trust and foster collaboration.
• Solution and outcome-focused, with commercial awareness.
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
