Senior Python Software Engineer

Orient Software is expanding a dedicated engineering team to support a long-term international product partner in the communication technology domain.

We are looking for Backend Engineers (Python) who are passionate about building reliable backend systems and growing within a product-focused environment.

You will work closely with an experienced Technical Lead and international stakeholders to develop scalable backend services used by real business customers worldwide.

This role offers strong learning opportunities while contributing directly to production systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend features using Python and modern backend frameworks.
• Design and enhance RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Work with databases to ensure performance, scalability, and data integrity.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product teams, and overseas stakeholders.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement practices.
• Take ownership of assigned features from development to deployment.

Requirement

• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Python (Django or similar frameworks is a strong advantage).
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture fundamentals.
• Experience working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
• Basic understanding of cloud environments or deployment concepts.
• Strong willingness to learn and improve technical skills.
• Good communication skills and proactive working attitude.
• Comfortable working in an international, distributed team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Exposure to system integrations or workflow automation.
• Experience building scalable or high-traffic backend services.
• Interest in AI-enabled or data-driven backend features.
• Familiarity with event-driven or asynchronous processing.
