About This Role

As an AI Engineer at OutSystems, you'll play a key role in building the intelligent systems that power the future of application development. You’ll work closely with Research Scientists and AI Engineers to bring innovative ideas to life—turning cutting-edge research into robust, scalable, and reliable features. While experience in AI/ML is a bonus, what we value most is strong software engineering expertise. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop production-ready systems in collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
• Work closely with Research Scientists and AI Engineers to prototype, implement, and productionize innovative features—learning AI concepts on the job as needed.
• Build highly available, fault-tolerant AI systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to AI data pipelines and feedback loops that support continuous improvement of intelligent features.
• Stay informed about the latest in software development and relevant AI/ML advancements, helping the team adopt the right tools and practices.
• Collaborate across teams to identify opportunities to improve developer experiences through automation and intelligent tooling.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in building and shipping scalable, data-intensive software systems.
• Strong programming skills with a focus on designing and implementing end-to-end solutions.
• Experience with Python is required; experience with C# is a plus.
• Experience with Web Development, using React (plus)
• Solid understanding of system design, architecture, and engineering best practices.
• A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn new domains, including AI/ML.
