The Role

As an SDET at Paradex, you are a developer focused on building the systems that ensure our exchange remains bulletproof. You will sit at the intersection of development and quality, designing sophisticated automation frameworks to validate high-frequency trading engines, smart contracts, and complex financial logic.

What You’ll Do

• Framework Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks from scratch (API, UI, and Integration).
• Deep Integration: Work alongside Backend and Frontend engineers to influence system design for better testability.
• Performance & Load: Develop tools to simulate high-concurrency trading environments and identify bottlenecks in our matching engine.
• CI/CD Ownership: Integrate automated suites into our deployment pipelines to ensure a "green-build" culture.
• Smart Contract Validation: Participate in the testing of on-chain logic and cross-layer interactions (L1/L2).
• Tooling: Build internal tools to assist developers in debugging and local environment setup.
  
  

What You Bring

• Experience: 5+ years in Software Engineering, SDET or Backend Testing within Web3 or Fintech.
• Framework Mastery: Proven track record of architecting and maintaining scalable E2E automation frameworks from the ground up (using Python, Go, or TypeScript).
• Distributed Systems: Deep understanding of QA methodologies and system dependencies within a distributed microservices architecture.
• Protocol Testing: Expertise in validating REST and Websocket APIs under high-load conditions, with a focus on low-latency data integrity.
• Consistency & State: Deep understanding of asynchronous systems, ensuring state consistency across the frontend, off-chain order book and the database.
• On-Chain/Off-Chain Integration: Experience validating the bridge between off-chain matching engines and on-chain settlement (L1/L2 smart contracts).
• Financial Logic: Ability to script and verify complex financial scenarios, including multi-asset cross-margin, liquidation cascades, and funding rate calculations.
