Job Summary:

Lead architecture for PayPal’s Enteprise Data Store, a high-scale, low-latency platform. Drive cross-team decisions, align with business goals, and lead zero-downtime migration. Build a cloud-native platform using Spanner, Bigtable, and serverless tech, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own architecture for distributed data platform
• Lead Oracle → GCP migration
• Drive cross-team design decisions and standards
• Translate business needs into scalable systems
• Design and optimize GCP data services
• Lead reviews, prototyping, and patterns (CQRS, Saga)
• Mentor teams and represent externally
• Cloud-native experience (GCP preferred)
• RDBMS to cloud migration experience
• High-scale, low-latency design expertise
• Strong SQL/NoSQL and communication skills
