Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Architect to design, implement, and govern secure, scalable, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role will be responsible for cloud architecture, enterprise networking, security, and DevOps automation, working closely with application, security, and platform engineering teams.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience with GCP networking and security services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines, and will play a strategic role in defining cloud standards, reference architectures, and operational best practices across the enterprise.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

·  Create and maintain a well‑informed cloud architecture strategy for Google Cloud aligned with Skyworks enterprise standards.

·  Design and govern reference architectures, landing zones, and design patterns for GCP workloads.

·  Lead architecture reviews and provide authoritative guidance on cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.

·  Support application and infrastructure teams in migrating and designing workloads for GCP.

Networking Architecture:

·  Architect and manage enterprise GCP networking, including:

·  Enterprise Landing Zone, VPC design (Shared VPC, VPC peering), Cloud Load Balancing (L4/L7)

·  Cloud DNS, Hybrid connectivity (Cloud VPN, SD-WAN, Dedicated / Partner Interconnect)

· Design secure and resilient on‑premises, hybrid, and multi‑cloud connectivity.

· Define network segmentation, routing, and traffic control best practices.

Security & Compliance:

· Work closely with the Cyber Security team to ensure all cloud architecture complies with Skyworks security and privacy policies.

· Design and enforce GCP security architectures, including IAM, service accounts, organization policies, and network security controls.

·  Support audit, risk assessment, and remediation activities.

·  Promote security‑by‑design and policy‑as‑code practices.

DevOps, Terraform & Automation:

·  Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) standards using Terraform.

·  Design, implement, and govern CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform deployments using Git‑based tooling.

·  Maintain Terraform modules, state management, versioning, and lifecycle best practices.

·  Drive automation to improve reliability, consistency, and deployment speed.

Cloud Operations & Enablement:

·   Cost analysis and Cost Optimization.

·   Deploy and monitor cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services in Google Cloud.

·  Respond to complex technical issues in a professional and timely manner.

·  Provide guidance on cloud migration techniques, including bulk application transfers.

· Manage and report on cloud costs, capacity, and optimization opportunities.

·  Provide training and enablement to teams interacting with cloud platforms.

Required Qualifications:

·  8 years of experience delivering and supporting multi cloud technology services focusing on GCP in an enterprise environment with Microservice architecture with Kubernetes

·  Strong hands‑on experience with Google Cloud Platform, particularly Infrastructure, networking and security with Enterprise Landing Zone deployment experience with hybrid networking

·  Deep knowledge of enterprise networking concepts including routing, load balancing, VPN, firewalls, and DNS.

·  Proven experience using Terraform for enterprise‑scale cloud infrastructure.

·  Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and platform automation, DevSecMLOps.

·  Strong Cost Optimization, troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

·  Define network segmentation, routing, and traffic control best practices.

·  Strong experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Helm chart

Preferred Qualifications:

·  Multi‑cloud experience (GCP, Azure and/or AWS).

·  Google Cloud certifications (Professional Cloud Architect, Network Engineer, or Security Engineer).

·  Experience with MLOPs and GenAI tools and technologies.

·  Excellent presentation skill, Architecture diagram and complex problem-solving skill
