The DevOps Engineer develops and implements software solutions to support business operations. Designs, tests, and deploys programs while ensuring delivery within a two-month SLA. Enhances system reliability and drives process efficiency to meet organizational objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions and in-house systems to support business operations
Administer corporate websites and web servers, ensuring system health, uptime, and performance monitoring
Analyze requirements, evaluate operational feasibility, and recommend effective technical solutions
Design system specifications, standards, and programming solutions aligned with business needs
Document and demonstrate solutions through technical documentation, flowcharts, diagrams, code comments, and system diagrams
Follow the software development lifecycle (SDLC) by studying system flows, data usage, work processes, and user requirements
Identify and implement automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
Coordinate with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure timely and seamless project execution
Monitor, summarize, and report project progress to the IT Department Head
Manage project risks, timelines, and resources to ensure completion within budget and schedule
Ensure confidentiality and protection of company systems, data, and operations
Collaborate with colleagues to meet departmental and organizational goals
Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance system performance and reliability
Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field
1-2 year of experience in software development or DevOps
Proficiency in software development and programming using modern languages (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
Strong knowledge of web server administration and website management to ensure system health and uptime.
Ability to create technical documentation and system diagrams for clear communication of solutions.
Proficiency in version control systems such as Git for collaborative development.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and basic agile practices.
Ability to analyze requirements and determine operational feasibility for proposed solutions.
Skill in process automation and scripting to improve efficiency.
Competence in project coordination and risk management to meet timelines and minimize issues.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for system and application issues.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
