The “SecOps Intern” Role

Join our Security Operations (SecOps) team as an intern and gain hands-on experience in protecting and strengthening our security posture at Qlik. We’re hiring for this role to support ongoing improvements in our detection and response capabilities, while giving exposure to real-world security challenges, tools, and methodologies used by an experienced security team.

Here’s How You’ll Be Making An Impact

Learn the ins and outs of our security stack and how different tools and processes work together to protect the organization.
Research vulnerabilities, emerging threats, and poor security practices, helping the team stay ahead of potential risks.
Contribute to improving our detection and response capabilities by investigating new approaches and proposing enhancements.
Build and implement proof-of-concept solutions to test new ideas, helping translate research into actionable improvements.
The outcomes of your work will help reduce risk, improve operational efficiency, and support the broader security mission of the organization.

We’re Looking For a Teammate With

A foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts (e.g., vulnerabilities, threats, and basic defense mechanisms)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curiosity for how systems can be secured or exploited
Ability to research technical topics and translate findings into actionable insights
Basic familiarity with security tools, scripting, or technical environments (e.g., Linux, networking, or programming)
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team environment
A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a fast-evolving security landscape
