Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Data Architect with strong expertise in designing and implementing scalable data platforms using Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Data Lake, and Power BI, and will lead end-to-end data architecture, governance, and analytics solutions to support business intelligence and AI initiatives. Hands-on experience in Unity Catalog is a must.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement cloud-based data architectures on Azure to support advanced analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives

Develop data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and orchestrate end-to-end data workflows

Architect and optimize data lakes for structured and unstructured data storage using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2

Implement ELT/ETL frameworks using Azure Databricks and Spark for big data processing

Integrate, transform, and visualize data using Power BI, ensuring efficient data modeling and DAX optimization

Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and compliance best practices within Azure environments

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to define and deliver scalable solutions

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers and developers

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience in architecting data solutions on Microsoft Azure (minimum 4+ years)

Expertise In

Azure Data Factory (ADF)

Azure Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake)

Azure Data Lake Storage Gen1/Gen2

Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization)

Strong understanding of data integration, data warehousing, and modern data platform patterns (e.g., medallion architecture)

Proficiency in SQL, Python or PySpark for data processing and transformations

Experience with CI/CD, version control (e.g., Git), and DevOps for data

Knowledge of data governance, security (RBAC, ABAC), and compliance on cloud platforms

Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

Microsoft certifications such as:

Azure Solutions Architect Expert

Azure Data Engineer Associate

Power BI Data Analyst Associate

Experience with tools like Azure Synapse, Purview, Logic Apps, or Power Automate

Familiarity with real-time data processing and event-driven architectures (e.g., Event Hubs, Stream Analytics)
