Cloud Engineer

Mandatory skills (with required skill depth)

Cloud & Networking

• Working knowledge of AWS
• Familiarity with VPC components (subnets, route tables, security groups)
• Basic working knowledge of hybrid networking (SitetoSite VPN, Direct Connect)

Containers

• Familiarity with Kubernetes basics
• Working knowledge of Amazon EKS (node groups, pod connectivity issues)
• Familiarity with Docker

Infrastructure as Code

• Working knowledge of Terraform
• Can write and modify Terraform resources
• Can manage state files at a basic level

Scripting / Automation

• Basic scripting skills in Bash or Python (task automation, maintenance)

Monitoring & Operations

• Basic use of Nagios, Thruk, or Prometheus
• Ability to perform daily operations, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis

Databases

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL

GOODTOHAVE SKILLS

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
• Exposure to vSphere/vCenter
• Exposure to Red Hat OpenShift
• Exposure to baremetal environments

OPTIONAL
