Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer to design, develop, and optimize modern data platforms and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Databricks, and Power BI/Tableau. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, cloud data warehousing, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, and business intelligence reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and Snowflake.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for ingesting, transforming, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• Implement and manage data lakehouse / warehouse architectures using Fabric, Snowflake, and Databricks.
• Create efficient data models to support reporting and analytics use cases.
• Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Optimize SQL queries, data models, and platform performance for scalability and efficiency.
• Work with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into technical data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data analysts, architects, and business users.
• Support troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production issue resolution.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse, Synapse, OneLake).
• Strong expertise in Snowflake (data warehousing, SnowSQL, performance tuning, data sharing).
• Strong experience with Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, notebooks, Delta Lake).
• Strong experience in SQL and data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and workflow orchestration.
• Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Tableau.
• Strong understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and lakehouse concepts.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Proficiency in Python / PySpark is preferred.
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and performance optimization.
