Job Responsibilities

The Data Analyst Intern will support the team in designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, analyzing business data, and automating reporting processes. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable insights, optimizing SQL queries for data management, and contributing to projects across analytics, ETL, and machine learning. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to improve data processes and business reporting efficiency.

• Assist in the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards to visualize key business insights and track performance across multiple business domains.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements, understand analytical objectives, and develop effective dashboard solutions.
• Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making.
• Write and optimize SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and manipulation across large and complex datasets.
• Support ongoing data and AI research initiatives, including:
• Evaluating ChatBI / LLM-to-SQL tools
• Exploring automated dashboard commentary and data quality monitoring
• Assisting with AI-driven exploratory analyses (e.g., revenue deep-dives, anomaly detection)
• Document analytical processes, experiments, and findings to maintain knowledge continuity for AI and automation projects.
• Coordinate with technical teams to understand data flow, system dependencies, and limitations related to sourcing and transforming data.
• Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives to modernize reporting, automate routine analytics, and enhance data accessibility for business users.
  
  
  

Pre-Requisites

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI (knowledge of DAX or Power Query is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and present clear, concise insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Exposure to ETL processes, data modeling, or basic data pipeline development is a plus.
• Understanding of AI concepts or experience with Python data/ML libraries (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or LLM API usage) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
• Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new automation and AI techniques to improve analytics workflows.
