Job Description

Job Purpose & Dimensions

Ensure global master data is being maintained on a highest quality level throughout their lifecycle. Define and continuously improve and implement measures, processes and tools to control global master data consistency and enhance existing tools.

Core Responsibilities

  • Maintain and govern master data across SCM systems, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
  • Ensure adherence to Master Data Governance (MDG) standards, policies, and approval workflows, supporting auditability and traceability of data changes.
  • Perform regular data reviews, clean‑ups, and validations to prevent duplicates, inconsistencies, and obsolete records.
  • Monitor data quality KPIs, identify root causes of data issues, and implement corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Support data migrations, testing, and post‑go‑live operations; collaborate cross‑functionally to resolve data issues.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, automate, and harmonize master data maintenance processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and increase data consistency.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, documentation, and user training.
  • Maintain up-to-date process documentation and work instructions for master data processes.

  • Operates on well-defined tasks with senior review.
  • Proactively escalates risks, issues, and data inconsistencies.
  • Demonstrates continuous learning and growing independence within assigned scope.

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in Master Data Analyst, Business Systems, or Operations roles.
  • Working understanding of SCM planning, manufacturing, and execution processes.
  • Exposure to ERP or planning systems (SAP S/4HANA preferred).
  • Strong Excel, reporting, and data validation skills.
  • Clear communicator; detail-oriented, disciplined, and receptive to feedback.
  • Effective in global, cross-functional environments.
  • Familiarity with requirements documentation, defect tracking, and collaboration tools is an advantage.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering (or equivalent) from a reputed, high-ranking institution, with strong academic performance and demonstrated analytical and logical skills.
  • Project Management certification is a plus.
