Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Data Engineer located in Hanoi Capital, Vietnam. The Senior Data Engineer will design and develop scalable data pipelines, implement ETL processes, and build robust data models to support data-driven decision-making. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage data warehousing systems, develop analytics solutions, and ensure data governance and quality standards are met. Additionally, they will stay updated on best practices in data engineering and provide mentorship to junior team members.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures on AWS.
• Develop robust ETL/ELT workflows using tools like Airflow, Glue, DBT, and Fivetran.
• Implement real-time data streaming and batch processing using Kafka, Flink, or Beam.
• Collaborate with cloud and DevOps engineers to deploy secure, reliable data solutions.
• Tune and troubleshoot performance of large datasets in Redshift, PostgreSQL, etc.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior team members (if applicable).
• Work closely with the CTO and Solution Architects to define technical direction.

🔧 What You Bring

5+ years of experience in data engineering or backend engineering roles.

• Proficient in SQL and Python; comfortable writing modular, production-ready code.
• Solid hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with tools like Airflow, Glue, DBT, Fivetran, or Talend.
• Comfortable with real-time processing (Kafka, Flink) and orchestration frameworks.
• Experience working with modern data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake) and lakes.
• Curiosity to explore, learn, and adopt new data technologies.
