Role Overview

We are seeking a forward-thinking Insurance Operations & Automation Product Manager to drive the design, standardization, and technology enablement of client insurance operations. This role combines insurance domain expertise with process excellence, workflow standardization, and automation capability to deliver consistent, efficient, and scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate will define and manage tech-enabled insurance products that optimize operations, integrate systems, and improve client efficiency through automation, AI, and standardized workflows.


Key Responsibilities

1. Product & Solution Leadership

  • Define and manage the roadmap of tech-enabled insurance operational products and solutions.
  • Partner with clients to understand operational challenges and design standardized workflows for consistency, integration, and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce automation and AI to streamline client operations.
  • Assess the access and information security requirements in the client's environment, proactively communicate with the client, and secure all necessary approvals for the solution.

2. Process Standardization & Optimization

  • Lead end-to-end process mapping, analysis, and redesign for insurance operations.
  • Establish standard operating procedures, KPIs, and governance frameworks for client operations.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.

3. Tech Enablement & Automation

  • Familiarize yourself with the company’s existing automation tools and infrastructure, and collaborate with the technology and automation teams to implement workflow automation, AI-enabled solutions, and system integration initiatives.
  • Evaluate and recommend digital tools, platforms, and automation opportunities to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Track and measure adoption, ROI, and operational performance post-implementation.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration & Client Engagement

  • Act as the primary product lead with clients to ensure solution fit, adoption, and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with Technology, Operations, Sales, and Delivery teams for seamless execution.
  • Provide training, documentation, and support for clients and internal teams.

5. Market Insight & Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage user feedback, internal performance data, and industry trends to refine the product roadmap.
  • Conduct regular reviews with stakeholders to ensure ongoing iteration, innovation, and improvement.

6. Risk, Compliance & Quality

  • Ensure all solutions comply with regulatory, legal, and client-specific requirements.
  • Monitor operational risk, identify gaps, and implement mitigation strategies.


Qualifications & Skills

Experience & Domain Knowledge

  • 5+ years of experience in product management, digital transformation, or tech-enabled operations, ideally in regulated or operations-heavy industries (insurance, banking, shared services).
  • Hands-on experience with automation, AI solutions, or technology enablement for business operations.
  • Proven experience in process improvement, workflow standardization, or operational excellence initiatives.

Strategic & Analytical Skills

  • Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
  • Ability to convert operational insights into scalable digital product solutions.

Communication & Influence

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation skills.
  • Effective in cross-functional collaboration with Technology, Operations, and senior stakeholders.

Education & Language

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Technology, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
