About Team

The Enterprise Efficiency team is dedicated to transforming workplace productivity through seamless integration of enterprise communication, open platform capabilities, and management systems covering HR, finance, and operational tools. Our products power the daily workflows of thousands of employees across Sea group companies.

Our product lines include SeaTalk (enterprise communication and collaboration platform) and PFMS (People and Financial Management System). We are currently driving enterprise initiatives where we actively leverage AI-powered tools and LLM integrations to enhance product capabilities and accelerate engineering workflows.

Job Description:

• Design and implement the test automation strategy across API, integration, and E2E layers for both SeaTalk and PFMS product lines.
• Build and maintain CI/CD-integrated test pipelines that gate releases and run on every merge request.
• Establish test environment management practices including reliable provisioning, data seeding, and environment parity with production.
• Define and instrument QA-relevant observability: structured test execution logs, flakiness tracking, coverage dashboards, and failure triage workflows.
• Evaluate and select test frameworks and tooling; own the technical decisions on what we use and how we use it.
• Own the regression testing strategy: define scope, maintain suites, and ensure regression cycles do not become release bottlenecks.
• Act as the quality gate authority for production releases — define go/no-go criteria and enforce them consistently.
• Drive test case design standards ensuring coverage aligns with PRD requirements and technical risk areas, not just happy paths.
• Serve as the technical quality authority: set standards, conduct test design reviews, and coach QA engineers on automation skills and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with backend and frontend leads on testability improvements — advocate for contract testing, structured logging, and API design that supports automated verification.
• Coordinate QA efforts across cross-site teams (Singapore, Shenzhen) during multi-team releases.
• Participate in technical design reviews to identify test strategy early in the development lifecycle.
• Communicate quality risks, test coverage gaps, and trade-offs clearly to product managers and engineering leadership.
  
  
  

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software QA/quality engineering, with at least 3 years focused on test automation architecture and infrastructure.
• Deep hands-on experience with at least two of: Selenium/WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress (E2E); pytest, JUnit, TestNG (API/unit); or equivalent frameworks.
• Proven track record of building CI/CD-integrated test pipelines from scratch or significantly improving existing ones (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar).
• Strong programming skills in at least one of: Python, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript — writes production-quality test code, not scripts.
• Experience with API testing at scale: REST, contract testing, and service-level integration verification.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical direction without direct management authority — influences through expertise, standards, and results.
• Experience working in cross-functional teams with frontend, backend, and product stakeholders.
• Proficient in using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate testing, debugging, and documentation workflows.
• General AI literacy — understands core AI/LLM concepts and can evaluate where AI capabilities can be practically applied to improve QA processes.
• Clear, proactive communication style — surfaces risks early, documents decisions, and keeps stakeholders informed without being asked.
• Comfortable working across time zones with distributed teams.
