Areas & Tasks
Ontology & Schema SupportAssist in developing and maintaining ontologies (using OWL/RDF) and semantic schemas for domains like Accounts Payable, HR, Sales, and Delivery.Help document and apply standardized vocabularies for key business processes.Knowledge Graph DevelopmentSupport senior engineers in building and updating the Enterprise Knowledge Graph.Help ingest and integrate data from sources such as SAP, Workday, and other platforms.Context Engineering for AI- Assist in preparing the right contextual data for prompt inputs to AI agents, enhancing their reasoning and accuracy for targeted queries.
- Data Governance & Standards
- Learn and help enforce data governance and semantic standards.
- Participate in training sessions and grow your knowledge of best practices for AI-driven analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design and maintenance of ontologies (OWL/RDF/SKOS) under guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in implementing and updating the Enterprise Knowledge Graph.
- Help build and maintain data pipelines for integrating enterprise data from systems like SAP and Workday.
- Collaborate with Data and AI Engineers to optimize semantic context for LLMs and AI-driven workflows.
- Contribute to the integration of knowledge graphs with AI technologies, including LLMs and vector databases.
- Learn and apply semantic modeling standards and governance practices.
- Work as part of cross-functional teams and engage in continuous learning.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, Engineering, or related fields. Recent graduates or candidates with up to 2 years relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
- Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic web technologies (RDF, OWL, SKOS).
- Familiarity with Python for scripting, SQL and data integration tasks.
- Exposure to graph query languages (SPARQL or Cypher) is a bonus.
- Interest in AI: Enthusiastic about AI, language models, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
- Domain Knowledge: Any exposure to shared services like Finance, HR, Sales, or Delivery is an advantage (not required).
- Collaboration: Good analytical skills and a willingness to learn, work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, and grow within Siemens.
