We are looking for Warranty and Maintenance Software Engineer

As a Warranty and Maintenance Software Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert support in vehicle warranty handling, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Train Control and Management Systems (TCMS). Your role will focus on ensuring system reliability, resolving field issues, and supporting customers throughout the product lifecycle.

You’ll make a difference by

  • Leading warranty support activities for TCMS systems on locomotives/trains.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting TCMS and Traction control -related issues during operation and maintenance.
  • Analyzing vehicle logs, diagnostic data, and field feedback to identify root causes of failures.
  • Coordinating corrective and preventive actions with design, software, and service teams.
  • Supporting maintenance teams with technical expertise, documentation, and fault rectification guidelines.
  • Conducting system tests, validation of fixes, and ensuring timely resolution of customer issues.
  • Preparing and maintaining reports for warranty claims, issue resolution, and reliability improvements.
  • Assisting in upgrades, retrofits, and software updates during service phase.
  • Conducting training sessions for service staff and customer personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance practices.
  • Acting as a problem solver and technical interface between customer, service team, and engineering teams.

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Science with 3–5 years of relevant rolling stock experience.
  • Strong domain knowledge of locomotive/train TCMS, warranty handling, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in analyzing diagnostic data, fault logs, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as TRDP, MVB, WTB, Ethernet.
  • Knowledge of EN/IEC standards (e.g., IEC 50128, IEC 61375) is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of maintenance practices, customer support processes, and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork ability and willingness to support field/service teams.
