Our GCC in India drives product execution across a portfolio of vertical SaaS companies, embedding best practices in backlog management, AI-driven delivery, and customer-centric design. The Education sector is one of the most complex we serve — delivering tools for academic software delivery, campus life management, classroom orchestration, and accreditation planning to K-12 and higher education institutions.
About The Role
Product Owner Education is a tactical lead focused exclusively on the Education sector, serving as the essential bridge between the Product Manager's strategic vision and the engineering teams. You will manage the technical execution of products ranging from academic analytics and lab management to campus residence life applications — with primary focus on classroom management and campus life management.
You will own the product backlog end-to-end, translate PM-level strategy into prioritized epics and well-defined user stories, and ensure consistent, high-quality delivery in close collaboration with engineering and design teams.
SECTOR SCOPE
Education: Driving innovation in student success tools, campus engagement platforms (residence life and campus management), and specialized academic analytics — including lab usage statistics and automated software delivery for higher education.
Key Responsibilities
Backlog & Workflow Management: Own the product backlog for educational tools, translating goals into actionable user stories for student engagement and academic management — leveraging AI-assisted tools to accelerate throughput and quality.
Sector-Specific User Stories: Create detailed specifications for unique educational workflows — lab usage tracking, academic intervention alerts, campus-wide software delivery, and residence life management.
Sprint Coordination: Lead agile cycles for academic analytics and student success platforms, ensuring technical updates do not disrupt the academic calendar.
Customer Insight Translation: Gather and synthesize inputs from teachers, students, and campus administrators into actionable backlog items through interviews and feedback sessions.
UI/UX Collaboration: Work with product designers to ensure feature specifications reflect persona-based design principles and modern accessibility standards (FERPA, COPPA, WCAG).
Data & AI Feature Delivery: Support identification and delivery of AI-enhanced features such as personalized learning prompts, automated reporting, and usage analytics.
Preserving Founder Excellence: Partner with company leads to ensure technical updates modernize the platform without alienating the existing user base or sacrificing institutional trust.
