Embedded Systems Engineer

Job Description

You will design and develop electronic circuit boards for our drone systems and be part of a tight-knit team that provides safe, reliable drone systems and quality services to our distinguished customers in Singapore and around the region.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Research for solution: You will research and define efficient and reliable architecture to fulfil electronic circuit board requirements for our drone systems.
2. Component sourcing: You will source suitable electronic components to implement the design architecture.
3. Schematic design: You will study datasheets of the electronic components and design the schematic of electronic circuit boards that can fulfil the requirements.
4. PCB design: You will design the PCB layout of electronic circuit boards and generate Gerber files for PCB fabrication.
5. Firmware design: You will be responsible for firmware programming in embedded C/C++ language.
6. PCB assembly test: You will test PCB assemblies thoroughly and ensure they operate as expected.
7. Generation of documents and drawings: You will generate documents and drawings of design and test.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

1. Good to have relevant experience in electronic hardware and firmware design
2. Knowledge in various communication buses and protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, Ethernet, etc.
3. Proficient in schematic and PCB design tools such as Altium Designer, OrCAD Capture and PCB Designer, Autodesk EAGLE, etc.
4. Proficient in using instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc. to troubleshoot issues on electronic circuit boards.
5. Proficient in C/C++ programming language.
6. Strong research and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent written and verbal skills.
