The senior data scientist is responsible to work with massive amounts of data to develop ML/GenAI models with Telco and other sets of data to help enterprises realise key business value through the use of Telco Insights. The senior data scientist will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders to develop new Al products or new application areas for Al.

Roles and Responsibilities

Architect scalable Agentic AI systems using multi-agent architectures that can autonomously plan, decide, and execute tasks, integrating with enterprise data, APIs, and business workflows to support internal and external
Design and develop next generation of scalable Telco Big Data Analytics Models to support commercial projects across various business verticals.
Propose and design effective analytical approaches taking into consideration performance and scalability to large datasets, adhering to best practices for model development, and perform unit and system testing to validate the results of the analytics models. Constantly review and ensure that current methodology conforms and meets industry standards.
Propose and develop new analytics models and innovative techniques and algorithms to enhance SmartHub capabilities and value proposition of Telco Big Data.
Independently develop solutions that adopt and leverage on latest AI/ML models including GenAI and agentic solutions to deliver exceptional value to internal/external stakeholders.
Participate and contribute to stakeholders' requirement gatherings sessions, co-creation workshops to size up stakeholders' problem statements and formulate and review best approaches to analytic solutions and models.
Lead the technical collaboration with industry or research institutes to propose new potential areas for collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Analytics or related disciplines, along with at least 5 years of relevant experience in Big Data analytics application development OR Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or related disciplines
Experience with GenAI/Agentic AI solutions development and deployment
Experience with Business Intelligence Visualization (e.g. Tableau, AWS QuickSight)
Experience in presentation to stakeholders to articulate business values for analytical/data science projects
Experience in the following Big Data technologies: PySpark, Kafka
Programming experience in one or preferably more of the following languages: Python, Scala
Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Huawei Cloud)
Exposure to real-time streaming technologies (e.g. Spark Streaming)
Good understanding of software agile development, continues integration and deployment
Attention to details, a self-starter and self-learner continuously keeping up to date with industry developments
Creative problem solver and ability to think out of the box
Experience in Telco industry will be an advantage
