Job Title: Infrastructure Operations Engineer – Cloud Platforms Solutions

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Key Responsibility Areas

Responsible for continuous administration, maintenance, and incident/change execution for:

• Cloud hosting platforms (Azure, AWS), on‑premise VMware & regional datacenters

• OS lifecycle operations, patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation

• Web Application Firewalls, Cloud firewalls, Load Balancers

• Backup & recovery, disaster recovery readiness

• Container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes), OS templates, automation tooling

• Infrastructure platform reliability, stability, and continuity

• Infrastructure documentation & referentials (Confluence, CMDB, …)

• Major incident participation, RCA creation, and remediation follow‑up

• Execution of changes with risk analysis, rollback, comms & validation

• Continuous monitoring & alerting efficiency

• Full participation in follow‑the‑sun handover workflows between regions

ENABLE (Platform & Tools Collaboration)

Actively collaborate with domain teams providing enabling platforms:

• Cloud platform engineering teams for templates, automation & standards

• ServiceNow teams for workflow execution & change/incident best practices

• Observability team for monitoring & alerting improvements

• Automation & Integration teams for scripts, orchestration, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines

GOVERN (Standards & Compliance Execution)

Execute enforced global standards covering:

• Infrastructure & platform standards governance

• Security hardening, compliance, audit readiness

• FinOps / cloud cost governance compliance and reporting

• Architecture exceptions, lifecycle rules, and version adoption

Cross Team Collaboration

• Act as technical counterpart for Field Services & Support on datacenter adjacent tasks

• Support global rollouts, migrations, and modernization programs led by Cloud Platform Solutions

• Provide operational feedback to global standards, patterns & architecture

Education

• Bachelors in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

• Certifications appreciated: Azure/AWS Associate, VMware VCP, Terraform Associate, Kubernetes CK

Knowledge and Skills

• Hands‑on experience with VMware, Azure, AWS, virtualization, and cloud ops

• Strong systems experience: Windows/Linux, identity integrations, storage, backup, datacenter hardware

• Working knowledge of containers (Docker/K8s) and platform lifecycle

• Strong scripting/automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform

• Solid understanding of network & security (WAF, firewall basics, LB)

• Strong commitment to applying global standards, reusables patterns and best practices

• Experience operating in global / follow‑the‑sun / 24×7 environments preferred and ability to produce clear, reusable technical documentation and ensure knowledge continuity amongst teams

• Fluent in English (CECRL B2+ equivalent) and at ease working in a multicultural environment.
