Job Description: Senior QA Engineer

Overview

The Senior QA Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the team’s deliverables. This role requires strong ownership of testing processes, deep understanding of tools and data, and the ability to collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment. The engineer will drive continuous QA improvements while performing both manual and automated testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion QA practices within the team and advocates for continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Own and validate Acceptance Criteria for user stories to ensure clarity and testability.
• Conduct Manual and/or Automated testing across various features and components.
• Identify, document, and report defects, and work closely with developers to ensure resolution.
• Build deep expertise in the tools, systems, and data involved in the product.
• Perform QA code reviews for automated tests (including TDD-oriented tests).
• Plan and execute exploratory testing as part of the Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) process.

Technical Skills

Required

• Strong understanding of SQL, with ability to write and execute queries for data analysis and testing.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.

Advantageous / Preferred

• Experience with Cloud platforms (e.g., Azure).
• Power BI knowledge or experience.
• Working experience with C#.
• Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Experience using Gherkin-style Acceptance Criteria.
