P3 – Lead SDET Engineer

Role Overview

Trimble is seeking a Lead SDET Engineer (P3) to lead quality and automation efforts for the Field Systems FedRAMP initiative. This role contributes to and executes the test strategy, develops automation frameworks, and maintains quality standards for the team, specifically ensuring end-to-end testing coverage across Azure and AWS cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to and execute the test strategy for FedRAMP readiness.
• Lead the design and execution of end-to-end testing strategies for systems deployed on Azure and AWS.
• Implement and maintain test automation frameworks (API, UI, integration).
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers and SDETs on automation best practices.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to validate compliance requirements.
• Improve test coverage, reliability, and release confidence.
• Drive quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Robust automated test coverage, including end-to-end cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS).
• Reduced regression and escaped defects.
• Clear traceability and audit-ready quality artifacts.
• Strong quality ownership across teams.
  
  

Required Skills

• Strong experience as an SDET or QA Lead.
• Expertise in end-to-end testing of applications deployed across Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Test automation using modern frameworks (UI + API).
• Experience with CI/CD-integrated test automation.
• Knowledge of compliance-driven testing environments.
• Strong mentoring and technical leadership skills.
  
  

Experience

• 6+ years of QA / SDET experience, with significant hands-on experience in Azure and AWS end-to-end testing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and initiatives in automation and quality.
• FedRAMP, SOC2, or similar compliance experience is a strong plus.
