About the Role!

As an L4 Software Engineer (IC) in Offers, you build and operate systems that make offers highly discoverable for users and simple, measurable, and reliable for merchants-driving affordability perception and incremental Gross Bookings at scale. You ship features of high complexity, make sound design tradeoffs, raise engineering quality, and collaborate tightly with PM/DS/Design to deliver measurable outcomes. It leverages cutting-edge engineering practices and data-driven insights to enhance UberEats' infrastructure, ensuring high reliability and performance.
The role of a Software Engineer II at Uber involves designing, developing, and maintaining services and solutions that support user-facing products, downstream services, or infrastructure tools across the organization. They work on backend/data/machine learning aspects, focusing on building robust distributed systems to handle infrastructure challenges and enhance security and privacy. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Go, C++, etc.
Deep understanding of computer systems, which may include experience with backend services, large-scale systems, multi cloud infrastructure, etc.
Ability to contribute to technical innovation and problem-solving within a team setting.
4+ years of experience as a software engineer and building large-scale distributed system Experience in architecture design and developing high availability and high-performance systems.
