Summary

UST is looking for a highly skilled Front-End Engineer / Full Stack JavaScript Developer with strong expertise in modern web technologies, front-end architecture, and hands-on experience in building scalable applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical proficiency, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced developer who can contribute to high-quality front-end and Node.js–based backend development, ensure architectural consistency, and deliver robust, performant, and maintainable solutions.

What You Need

• 7+ years of experience in professional web development.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Deep knowledge of React.js (hooks, component composition, routing, forms).
• Hands-on experience building backend services with Node.js (Express/Nest).
• Experience designing REST / GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL database integrations.
• Solid grounding in front-end architecture:
• State management
• Design systems
• Testing strategy (Jest, React Testing Library)
• Performance optimization
• Accessibility (a11y)
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / GitLab / Jenkins).
• Experience with environment configuration, artifact, and version management.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and mentoring through reviews, workshops, or pair programming.
  
  

Required Skills

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Build and optimize Node.js services using Express or Nest frameworks.
• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Integrate applications with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Contribute to front-end architecture including state management, design systems, and testing strategy.
• Ensure high standards of performance, accessibility, and code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and technical discussions.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and backend teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD workflows, environment setup, version management, and deployment readiness.
  
  

Desired Skills

• Exposure to Remix, Next.js, or other meta-frameworks for SSR/SSG and routing.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Knowledge of containers (Docker) and basic infra pipelines.
• Experience with micro-frontends, shared component libraries, or design systems.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (logs, metrics, traces) and production performance monitoring.
  
  

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Relevant technical certifications are a plus.
