Job Title: Tableau QA Engineer

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled
Tableau QA Engineer with Automation experience to ensure the quality, accuracy, and performance of Tableau dashboards and enterprise reporting solutions. The role focuses on
data validation, dashboard testing, and test automation, supporting large‑scale analytics programs. You will work closely with
BI Developers, Data Engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
Tableau QA & Data Validation
- Perform end‑to‑end testing of Tableau dashboards, reports, and data extracts
- Validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency between source systems, data warehouses, and Tableau outputs
- Test calculations, filters, parameters, aggregations, and drill‑downs
- Identify data discrepancies, analyze root causes, and raise detailed defects with evidence
Test Automation
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts for Tableau dashboards and data validation
- Automate regression testing, data reconciliation, and dashboard validation
- Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines where applicable
- Maintain reusable automation frameworks and test utilities
Functional & Regression Testing
- Execute functional, regression, and smoke testing for Tableau releases
- Validate dashboard performance, load behavior, and refresh schedules
- Support UAT cycles in collaboration with business users and developers
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with BI Developers, Data Engineers, QA, and Product teams
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and defect triage meetings
- Provide test status, defect metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Hands on QA experience with a strong focus on Tableau testing and data validation
- Hands‑on experience with Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, and published dashboards
- Strong SQL skills for backend data validation and reconciliation
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, custom frameworks, or equivalent)
- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery models
