Your Role as a Zenika Consultant:

As a consultant, you’ll be embedded within client teams to solve real-world engineering challenges. You’ll bring both technical expertise and a problem-solving mindset to help design and build modern back-end platforms.

• Design and develop Spring Boot–based applications and RESTful APIs used in production environments
• Build scalable, secure microservices with a strong focus on maintainability and performance
• Translate functional requirements into clean, well-structured code and technical solutions
• Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and understand when different data models make sense
• Contribute to system design discussions, applying sound architectural and design patterns
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end engineers, product managers, and DevOps
• Ensure quality through testing, code reviews, and best engineering practices
• Participate in CI/CD workflows and containerized deployments using tools like Docker and Kubernetes
• Help clients modernize their platforms and adopt cloud-native development approaches

What you Bring

• 5+ years experience in Java development, with hands-on expertise in Spring
• BootSolid understanding of API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems
• Experience working with SQL databases and data modelling
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Exposure to containerization, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices
• A pragmatic mindset — you balance technical excellence with delivering real business value
• Confidence working directly with stakeholders in a consulting or project-based environment
