General Information

Bandhan Bank Limited was incorporated on December 23, 2014 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bandhan Financial Holdings Limited, owned by Bandhan Financial Services Limited (BFSL), the largest microfinance organisation in India. Its public shareholders include International Finance Corporation (IFC), SIDBI, Caladium Investment Pte. Ltd. (a company managed by GIC Special Investments Private Limited), Bandhan Employees Welfare Trust & a few individuals. Bandhan Bank started with a capital base of ₹2,570 crore & this has been raised to ₹3,334 crore as on March 31, 2016. This translates into more than 29.01% CAR for the new bank, signifying its robustness. It started with 501 branches, 50 ATMs & 2,022 Doorstep Service Centres (DSCs) on day 1.

Presently, Bandhan Bank has 6,250+ banking outlets pan-India serving 3.26+ crore customers. The Bank has mobilised deposits of ₹1.17 lakh crore and its total advances stand at ₹1.16 lakh crore taking the total business to ₹2.33 lakh crore as on December 31, 2023. The Bank has a team of 75,000+ employees on roll. Bandhan Bank is driven by a constant desire to serve better.
