Game Designer FSKU

Responsibilities

• Tune and balance content you’re developing; extend those systems to realize new visions for gameplay and improve player experience.
• Gather, acknowledge, and respond to internal feedback, adjusting design choices as necessary.
• Ensure all your content is well-organized and easily updated by other team members.
• Work on multi-disciplinary teams to conceptualize and build exceptional game content.
• Able to validate the design contribution of a small project or feature in a medium-large scale project.
• Able to not only concept and implement but also prove it works or adds value to the product (e.g., through deconstruction, data, user test, buy-in, etc.)

Requirements

• Three years or more experience with game design.
• Strong game design fundamentals, understanding of core player experiences, and ability to make good design decisions.
• Have at least 2-3 games as portfolio with playable content or prototypes that demonstrate strong game design skills.
• Familiar with Unreal Engine for gameplay prototyping, including level design and user experience principles.
• Absolute passion for playing and making games.
• Fluent in many prevalent game genres and mechanics.
• Creatively, analytically, and organizationally skilled with proven ability to write, communicate, and maintain detailed design documentation throughout the game life cycle.
• Conduct deep research, communicate effectively, collaborate within teams, solve problems, adapt to project needs, and show a desire for growth and self-development.
• Open to feedback or input and enjoys working in an iterative and agile process.
• Able to analyze and interpret data to fit design objectives.
• Ability to interpret player and peer feedback and turn it into in-game solutions.
