Data Analyst

Looking for Data Expert/Analyst who can provide support to the firm’s Data as a Product initiative.

Quickly understand the firm’s data model, design and lineage and be a source of information to the firm’s data users.

Responsibilities:

• Be a Data Expert/Analyst and provide support to the firm’s Data as a Product initiative

• Quickly understand the firm’s data model, design and lineage and be a source of information to the firm’s data users

• Work with business analysts, ETL developers, Qlik visualization engineers, and own application functional/technical support

• Have a keen interest in hands-on writing SQL, look QlikSense ETL/Data model to create data extracts, or advising data consumers on where to find relevant data

• Conduct data bootcamp and champion Data as a Product initiative

• Collaborate with stakeholder to understand their needs and offer solutions.

• Lead and attend to data issues reported. Report any breaks to the relevant business stakeholders (e.g., SCD business users), and vendors and work with them to resolve the issues on a timely basis.

• Manage testing of new features, and defect fixes before they are released to production.

• Manage and support enterprise-wide initiatives (e.g., onboarding of new instruments, upgrade of SCD, data feeds to Snowflake)

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant experience in business analysis, data management, reconciliation, and application support in financial institutions.

• Experience in working with investment products (Simcorp, Summit, Investment Datawarehouse)

• Experience in working with investment data transformation for portfolio analysis using data tools such as Snowflake, QlikSense, Python, SQL, etc.,

• Experience in working with multi-partner, multi-system connected systems to receive transformed data to downstream systems.

• Expert level skills in Microsoft Excel, ability to perform investigation and analysis from multiple files to get the desired data set.
