Understanding Customer Requirements
- Initial Engagement: Presales teams often initiate contact with potential clients to understand their business needs and challenges.
- Requirement Gathering: They conduct detailed discussions, workshops, and meetings to gather and document customer requirements.
Solution Design
- Technical Assessment: Analyze the client's existing IT infrastructure and systems to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Solution Architecture: Design a customized IT solution that addresses the client's specific needs, leveraging the company's services and technologies.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies to ensure that the proposed solution is viable and can be implemented successfully within the client's environment.
Proposal Development
- Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates, including licensing, implementation, and ongoing support costs.
- Project Planning: Create a high-level project plan, outlining timelines, milestones, and key deliverables.
- Drafting Proposals: Prepare comprehensive proposals that include technical solutions, project plans, cost estimates, and value propositions.
Demonstrations and Presentations
- Product Demos: Organize and conduct demonstrations of relevant products or solutions to showcase their capabilities and benefits.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Develop and execute PoCs to validate the proposed solution's effectiveness and suitability for the client's needs.
- Client Presentations: Deliver tailored presentations to client stakeholders, highlighting the solution's advantages and how it addresses their specific requirements.
Response to RFPs/RFIs
- RFP/RFI Management: Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) by creating detailed and customized responses.
- Collaboration with Sales and Technical Teams: Work closely with sales and technical teams to ensure that responses are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with the client's expectations.
Technical Support During Sales Process
- Technical Queries: Address any technical queries or concerns raised by potential clients during the sales process.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the proposed solution.
- Negotiation Support: Provide technical support to the sales team during contract negotiations, helping to clarify technical aspects and ensuring that the client's needs are met.
Building and Maintaining Relationships
- Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with potential clients through continuous engagement and effective communication.
- Feedback Loop: Collect feedback from clients to refine proposals and solutions, ensuring they are aligned with client expectations and industry standards.
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
You possess a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of Experience as s Presale/Sales Engineer.
- 10+ years overall IT/development Background.
- Experience in RFP’s and RFI’s, POCs.
- Experience working with global customers.
- Good interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills in English.
- Strong customer service orientation
- Analytical skills and the ability to recognize the demands on the side of the clients.
- Willingness to travel.
