What is your mission?
The Systems Administrator is responsible for assisting the Enterprise Windows Administration team with projects, system maintenance and implementations, as well as performing general administrative tasks at headquarters and supporting services across 13 distribution centers nationwide. They identify and resolve problems including answering questions, providing direction based on established standards and procedures, troubleshooting and coordination of problem resolution and ensuring that the appropriate communication, hand-off and follow-through occurs.
You will provide the best service to our partner client by performing these tasks:
- Provide intermediate administrative support for the following environments: Active Directory, Exchange Online, SharePoint, File Services and Storage, MSFT Teams, FTP integration services, and several additional crucial business services.
- Serve as a tier-3 point-of-contact for Enterprise Windows Administration Service Desk requests.
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and Windows Server operating systems to ensure system stability and data integrity.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Windows-based servers and services.
- Manage Active Directory, including user and group administration, group policy management, and domain controller configuration.
- Implement and maintain Windows-based networking services, such as DHCP, DNS and file services.
- Intermediate-level administration of the client's SolarWinds Enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Intermediate-level administration of data protection methodologies for file/server backups, restore-testing, and replication.
- Execute regularly scheduled maintenance.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to plan and implement system upgrades, migrations and expansions.
- Ensure compliance with security polices and implement security measures to protect Windows-based systems from vulnerabilities and threats.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and future reference.
Who are we looking for?
- 4 to 6 years of Enterprise Domain Administration or equivalent education.
- Demonstrated experience in implementation and support of Microsoft Platforms.
- Experience providing technical support to end-users in a corporate environment
- Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS) experience
- MCSA/MCSE Certifications preferred
- Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audience
- Possess an exceptional attention to detail, with a concern for ensuring accuracy, clarity, and quality of work
- Knowledgeable in Windows Server Environments
- Experienced in monitoring infrastructure and network environments using a variety of tools
- Intermediate understanding of Exchange Online, Email security appliances, Active Directory, Group-Policy, Domain Replication, DNS, DHCP
- Familiarity with security best practices and tools for Windows-based systems
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to Windows-based systemsAbility to work in a team environment and actively participate in projects
- Highly developed investigative and analysis skills Ability to work proactively and cooperatively in a diverse group
- Intermediate level understanding of server infrastructure interconnectivity
